The Network for Youth Actions for SRHR Advocacy (NYASA) was established in 2017 by a group of passionate youth advocates in Malawi. Recognizing the urgent need for comprehensive sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) education and services in our communities, we came together with a shared vision of promoting and protecting these fundamental rights for all individuals.
The Network for Youth Actions for SRHR Advocacy (NYASA) is dedicated to championing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for all. Our network is a vibrant community of passionate advocates working together to ensure that every individual has access to comprehensive reproductive health information and services, including safe abortion.
Our mission is to empower young people and communities with the knowledge, resources, and support they need to make informed decisions about their reproductive health. We strive to create a Malawi where everyone, regardless of age, gender, or socio-economic status, can exercise their reproductive rights safely and freely. Additionally, we aim to build and sustain a robust SRHR advocacy movement among local organizations.
By fostering collaboration and unity among our 15 member organizations, we strengthen our collective capacity to advocate for comprehensive reproductive health rights, access to safe abortion information and services, and legal reforms that support and protect these rights.

We envision a society where reproductive health rights are universally respected and protected, and where safe abortion services are accessible to all who need them. We aim to drive legal reforms that align with this vision, ensuring that no one is left behind.
Since our inception, NYASA has grown into a robust network comprising 15 local organizations, each dedicated to addressing various aspects of SRHR. Our journey began with grassroots efforts to raise awareness about reproductive health rights and quickly expanded to include advocacy for policy changes and legal reforms. Over the years, we have become a leading voice in the fight for safe abortion access and reproductive justice in Malawi.
We believe that everyone has the right to reproductive health services, regardless of their background or circumstances.
We are dedicated to empowering young people and communities to take control of their reproductive health.
We respect the autonomy and dignity of all individuals and advocate for their right to make informed choices.
We work in partnership with local, national, and international organizations to amplify our impact and achieve our goals.
We are committed to transparency, accountability, and ethical practices in all our operations.
